My name's Charlie Conway, and I'm a sophomore on an athletic scholarship at Eden Hall Academy; I'm a hockey player and the captain of the Eden Hall Mighty Ducks; first line center, and this year I even get to be a swinger for Varsity. When we were younger, my team (the Ducks) won the Junior Goodwill Games, so you've likely heard of us. Heck, they even named a pro team after us. Do the Anaheim Mighty Ducks sound familiar at all? That's what I thought.

I've grown close to my teammates, and they're like a family to me. I've known Peter Mark, Guy Germaine, Jesse Hall, and Connie Moreau since diapers, and most of the other since elementary school. My friends mean a lot to me and we all look after each other, no questions asked.

I live in the dorms right now, but when I'm not in school, I live in an apartment with my mom Casey whom I actually get along with. She's a single mom (we left my dad when I was really young, supposedly), so she's raised me by herself. We're a team, in that respect.

I'm working for a family friend, Jan, at his family skate shop. I took a year or so off, but I decided I'd go back. Never hurts to have a couple extra bucks, and he pays me pretty good. I was gypped the first couple years before I realized he should be paying me. :P

My mom's a waitress at Mickey's Diner, so I spend tons of time there. Might as well have a job there too. Heh.

I love playing hockey, and it's one of the things I love most about life. I hope to make a career out of it in some way when I'm older. It's my passion.
